Suitable for new beginners and those with existing Medic / First Responder experience.
This 3 day course will be exploring existing emergency medical protocols, learning how to apply them, what changes in a 'grid down' situation, and will also be working through a large range of scenarios to test and apply these medic skills!
Students, among other things, will be introduced to our unique Critical Decision Making Matrix (CDMM) Training aid, which is specifically designed to assist making the tough decisions associated with 'austere' situations.
All course attendees will complete not only theory and practical training sessions, in field based conditions, but will also have opportunities to join in mentored group discussions on a range of relevant topics relating to Medical Aid Delivery in compromising situations.
This course is ideal for those looking to be more prepared, working in or enjoying travelling in wilderness, remote or austere conditions, health practitioners that question the realities of post-disaster conditions and their implications on working routines, as well as those looking for a fun and challenging experience that imparts essential life skills and knowledge at the same time!
The highly accessible course fee includes medical training equipment relevant to the course. But does not include transport, meals or accommodation (Although affordable accommodation options are available nearby).
